The small town of Fostoria, Ohio has a total area of about 8 square miles, yet it spans three separate counties. It is uniquely situated where Wood, Hancock, and Seneca Counties converge. The city was created in 1854 after merging the two former communities of Rome and Risdon. Fostoria is named after Charles Foster Sr., who donated land in the merger. Foster’s son, Charles Foster Jr.,
